What Is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is a completely natural state—much like daydreaming—where your body is deeply relaxed, yet your mind remains focused and aware. You are always in control, simply guided into a space of calm clarity.

At the same time, hypnosis is a powerful tool for accessing the subconscious mind, where most limiting beliefs and automatic behaviours are stored. While the conscious mind is busy managing daily life, the subconscious quietly runs old programming—scripts often written in childhood or during emotionally charged moments.

These can include internalised beliefs like “I’m not good enough”, “Success is unsafe”, or “I’m not worthy”—beliefs that shape our behaviours, self-image, and even our nervous system responses.

What Happens During Hypnosis?

During hypnosis, you remain awake and fully conscious, often more attuned to your inner world than usual. You can speak and respond easily, though you might feel so relaxed that you don’t feel like moving or opening your eyes.

To guide you into this state, I use a gentle combination of voice, breathwork, and progressive muscle relaxation. As you release physical tension and sink into stillness, you may feel more mentally alert while physically at ease. This approach is equally effective in both face-to-face and virtual sessions, allowing past memories and deeper insights to emerge with greater ease.

When you enter a hypnotic state—relaxed, yet highly focused—those critical conscious filters soften. In this suggestible state, I guide you to interrupt unhelpful thought patterns, reframe core beliefs, and install new, empowering narratives. Instead of just “talking about” change, hypnosis lets you feel the change at a deep, embodied level. That’s why it is so impactful for rewiring responses to stress, self-worth, confidence, and even health behaviours.

The beauty of this approach is how it blends the subconscious reprogramming with emotionally safe methods like breathwork, muscle relaxation, and imagery. It’s not just clinical—it’s soulful.
